The Esco Airstream(r) Class II Biological Safety Cabinet is a cost effective solution to providing operator, product and environmental protection within the laboratories and industrial facilities. The Airstream(r) features the use of 2 ULPA filters to deliver ISO Class 3 air cleanliness to the work zone. The Esco Airstream(r) Class II Biological Safety Cabinet has been independently certified and type-tested by Health Protection Agency (HPA, formerly CAMR, the Centre for Applied Microbiological Research, Porton Down, Salisbury, UK) for compliance with the Class II requirements of the EN12469:2000 (European standard for microbiological safety cabinets). The type-testing performed included stringent evaluations of cabinet airflows, containment, and operator comfort factors.    Dual ULPA filters, >100,000 x better protection than single filter systems. Independent inflow/downflow fans, redundant system provides protection in case of fan failure. Auto-purgeTM holes located at the front side walls eliminate eddy currents and dead air pockets in the critical area behind the sash window. The filter assembly is constructed in accordance with EN1822 requirements. Removable stainless-steel single piece work surface with large radius corners simplifies cleaning. Single piece formed stainless steel work surface with a curved front edge is designed for maximum operator comfort. Built-in warm white, electronically ballasted, 5000k lighting provides excellent illumination of the work zone and reduces operator fatigue. The reliable lighting system is zero-flicker and instant start. The lamp delivers uniform lighting to the work surface for greater comfort, reduced glare and improved productivity. Inflow of room air enters the front air grille to establish operator protection; room air does not enter the work zone, preventing product contamination. A raised armrest prevents the likelihood of inflow grille blocking by operator’s arms. The inflow velocity, downflow velocity, and air flow path, and intake geometry are precision tuned and tested to create an optimum air curtain on the front aperture; this curtain maintains personal and product protection even in the unlikely event of a severe inflow or downflow imbalance that would compromise protection in a conventional cabinet. Esco In Vitro Fertilization Workstation - Labculture

The Labculture IVF workstation is specially designed for use in fertility laboratories for research work in the fields of human and animal reproduction. A controlled work environment is of high priority due to the complexity of the process. This includes hygienic conditions to minimise microbial contamination, a warmed work surface for the sustenance of biological matter and provisions for the use of microscopes.   In the Labculture IVF workstation, air is taken in from above the workstation and passed through an ULPA filter. The filtered air is then passed through the main chamber in a vertical laminar (unidirectional) air stream before being exhausted through the front opening.  Warmed work top keeps temperature at a constant 37oC +/- 1oC (98.6oF). Work top temperature is constantly displayed on the front panel, and temperature is easily adjustable from the controller. An optional microscope mount is available upon request. An optional removable warming block to hold test samples can be easily slotted in from the top of the work zone, reducing the need for frequent movement of sensitive samples. The workstation interior is constructed of stainless steel, making the work zone easy to clean. The interior surface will not chip, rust or generate particles. The ergonomically designed work surface with a curved front edge is designed for maximum operator comfort. Isostat vinyl curtains isolate the cleanroom from the ambient environment, while allowing for easy passage of materials and personnel in and out of the clean area. Vinyl curtains terminate at a specific distance above the floor to allow for exhaust of clean air out of the cleanroom. Stainless steel swivel casters feature nonshedding polyurethane wheels. High quality HEPA filters utilizing an improved mini-pleated separation technique to maximizes surface area improves efficiency and extends the filter life. An additional disposable pre-filter on traps large particles in the inflow air prior to reaching the main filter, protecting against damage and prolonging life. Built-in solid-state variable speed controllers is superior to conventional "step" controllers and offer infinite adjustment. The Soft Capsule Cleanroom is shipped unassembled with tools and parts for on-site assembly, turning an existing air-conditioned space into a cleanroom in a matter of hours.
